An afternoon in the Library reading the Creative Review magazines for some inspiration. Here are a few of my favourite images (taken on the phone) ….

Disney

I have grown up with Disney and have always been obsessed! My all time favourite feature is The Lion King, mainly due to the music.

The Beginning Of A Legacy

After the war, Walt Disney headed to Hollywood with his drawing materials and $40. He opened a business with his brother making animated films and quickly became recognized in Hollywood. In 1928, Mickey Mouse was created and made an appearance in the world’s first cartoon with sound. On December 21, 1937, the first full-length animated musical feature, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, premiered in Los Angeles. It made over one million dollars, which was a lot of money back then. During the next five years, Walt Disney produced a bunch of other full-length, animated classics like Pinocchio, Fantasia, Dumbo and Bambi.

Pixar became a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company in 2006. The studio has earned twenty-four Academy Awards, seven Golden Globes, and three Grammys, among many other awards and acknowledgments. Its films have made over $6.3 billion worldwide. It is best known for its CGI-animated feature films which are created with PhotoRealistic RenderMan, its own implementation of the industry-standard RenderMan image-rendering API used to generate high-quality images.

First seen this short film in the cinema (just before Toy Story 3) – Genius!!

New York

I am yet to visit to New York but it is definitely on my list of things to do before I die. An amazing City with amazing landmarks, fashion and history!

St. Fagans

A walk around Wales – from Celtic times to the present day. St Fagans is one of Europe’s leading open–air museums and Wales’s most popular heritage attraction.

I have always loved St. Fagans…mainly due to several school trips there when I was a child. Here are a few photos from my most recent visit:

For quite a while now Banksy has been my favourite artist. His graffiti and art are genius….they always catch your eye and have a humorous side.

Now that 2010 made Banksy a household name, between the artist guest directing the intro to The Simpsons and his film, Exit Through the Gift Shop, recently landing itself in Academy Award contention in the documentary category, items surrounding the notoriously secretive artist will undoubtedly both receive more attention and more scrutiny.
